I wish to return to a time of beauty

with my La Belle Florentine.

Admired and loved

Adored and worshipped:

The image of beauty.

But why can’t I be beautiful now?

In a time of tan and bronze,

I am shunned to change my ways.

How I look and feel.

So I have to learn alone,

about my pale face and rosy cheeks.

Because nothing feels as beautiful,

as the love I can have for myself.
