Heartbroken and joyful.

The story kept flowing and going and when I thought it was over there was simply more. I’m devastated this duology is so small as I crave more and more. The relationships of all these characters is… absolutely incredible!!

My love for the six crows simply grows and grows, with the multiple pov’s (and Wylan finally getting a chapter!) they are so well-rounded and the deepest characters I’ve ever read about. Each character with their woefully tragic backstories just breaks my heart.

The weaving through Ketterdam’s streets was incredibly impressive, Bardugo didn’t compromise on expressing her talent and beautiful world building and story crafting. I think I spent most of my time reading this book flipping between the map and the story!!

I am going to have to force myself to take a break from Bardugo’s writing, because if not I’ll read her entire discography in just a few months, and I want to extend this beautiful universe as long as I possibly can.

I am honestly slightly speechless, this book was astonishing. <3
