I have chosen to do one of the most dangerous things known to man…
I volunteer at a Cat Café.
Now, as cute and loving this may sound, it has made me want a cat very bad.
If you’re ever in the local area of Sheffield, I highly recommend visiting Tabby Teas and you will ultimately fall in love just as I have done.
I have visited a Cat Café before when I was in Paris over in the spring. It was adorable, I loved it, but it was cats plonked in a café. I felt a little wrong being in there, like I was intruding upon these gorgeous little animals private space.
But at Tabby Teas it’s a café built around the cats – a complete dream come true may I add. It’s an amazing and comfortable atmosphere where you could just sit for hours enjoying life.

Anyway – my post isn’t about Tabby Teas itself, I wanted to write about the concept of it. The idea that building a café around cats is an incredible idea for a business! Maybe it’s the renters like me who aren’t allowed to have pets so they yearn for them somewhere else, perhaps it’s the anxious people who need the comfort and warmth that isn’t usually found in your average café.
Regardless of this, I think it’s a beautiful way of representing our society as not all crazed, power hungry or trying to harm the world. Some people just want a coffee and a cat.
