This is definitely my favourite instalment so far of the entire series!!!

After A Clash of Kings built up so much tension in all these characters and the game of thrones that is Westeros, I feel like Martin but let it all go in this book. And, with a new record of spontaneous and unexpected deaths (like what the hell was that?!), there was never a dull moment in this novel.

There was so much I don’t want to spoil about this… but it made me bawl my eyes out. The politics of this series just makes everything so real even as devastating as that is.

Also, this wouldn’t be a review without an honourary mention for Samwell’s chapter beginning with ‘Sobbing…’ A running joke between me, my flatmate, and the entire GOT community it seems – his chapter was very fitting for such an… interesting character.

I just want to soar through this series – but I never, ever want this to be over!!
